HOMINY CREEK - 1940 K Through Truss

JP#: 24365(04)

This K through truss bridge was constructed by Standard Paving Company in 1940. Standard Paving constructed numerous other bridges around the northeastern part of the state, including the Jenks Bridge over the Arkansas River. The bridge has five spans and totals 405 feet in length. The bridge includes only one truss span; the other spans are approaches (three on the north end and one on the south end).  The bridge is eligible for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.

Location: On State Highway 11 over Hominy Creek, near Skiatook.
